BRIT Class Act is a brand new online world and music competition which will see one lucky Act walking away with a coveted BRIT Award in 2011.
The competition has been launched in conjunction with the National Year of Music and the BPI to celebrate their 30th Anniversary. This is the first competition of its kind to recognise young talent with one of the industry’s most coveted awards. It’s already being supported by top artists such as Lemar and Tinie Tempah as well as Britain’s Got Talent Judge Piers Morgan and Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
The competition itself doesn't kick off till September but the website has been opened early so that any students who think they've got what it takes can start learning, practising and uploading their best tracks and be ready to enter their ultimate track into the BRIT Class Act competition which will open with an Official Schools' chart.
Throughout the year the BRIT Class Act website is going to bring students and fans closer to the music industry by providing them with all the information they could need from recording tracks to writing lyrics and putting on gigs. Class Act will also be speaking to some of the key players in the music industry so that anyone who is interested in the management or the A&R side of the industry can also get involved.
