BirdBox Live Events

The South East Grid for Learning BirdBox project will be holding a live 'Ask an Expert' event on the morning of Friday 28th May 2010. Peter Haynes, ornithologist from the Surrey Hills, will be at your disposal via videoconferencing (FlashMeeting).

 

Any school wishing to join this event should book a slot (first come first served) by emailing Heather Pettitt heather.pettitt@segfl.org.uk who will allocate times.

 

Each Videoconference will last 30 minutes :

 

  • 10:00-10:30
  • 10:50-11:20
  • 11:30-12:00 
  • 12:20-12:40 

 

Please post your questions to the 'Ask an Expert' 'Squawkback' forum on the BirdBox site before the event.

 

PuffinCam Expert Online Jen Stockdale has worked in bird research and conservation for the past four years both in the UK and abroad. She is currently working as the ecologist for the Alderney Wildlife Trust, and is in charge of the different seabird monitoring that takes place as part of the Ramsar site, including the puffins on Burhou.

 Although Jen will be answering questions live on June 3d - this may be during your school holiday - results may be viewed on the website from that point onwards.
